Developing and
retaining talent

We are passionate about creating business value by helping you to define and deliver agile talent management, development, succession planning and retention strategies to bridge skills gaps, whilst improving productivity and performance.

Integration and Onboarding Coaching

It has been statistically proven over many years that Onboarding Coaching can get newly appointed leaders to a point of ‘value creation’, up to three months earlier than the standard time.  Programmes are designed in partnership with you and delivered by KA’s highly experienced accredited Associate Coaches, who importantly bring clear commercial focus, business and organisational understanding to positively impact on your bottom line. Additionally, it has been shown that coaching significantly aids the retention of new hires as well as the success rate of internally promoted talent and mitigates the risk of derailing.

Expectations are high for both you and your new hire/promotee, they need to hit the ground running and you need to demonstrate you care and are supportive. Some research suggests that up to fifty percent of new senior hires fail to deliver anticipated results. Assimilation, integration and onboarding should be seen as a high quality individualised programme and part of your talent management strategy, it can also play a part in your ability to attract talent.

It is commonly heard that a new appointee has about 90 days to prove themselves in a new role. Many of the research reports into the efficacy of onboarding coaching suggest that where this investment protection is made, the individual’s positive impact and retention are significantly improved. Integration and onboarding coaching has been built into the talent management strategies of leading organisations and its practice continues to increase with a correlating impact on the decline of new hire failures. The faster new recruits or promotes feel welcomed and prepared for the role ahead, the faster they become value add contributors to the business and feel that they fit in and belong and become truly engaged.

Recognised Benefits of Integration and Onboarding Coaching

  • A safe and confidential space to talk candidly about the real challenges being faced. An opportunity to unburden, without the risk of feeling it could be career limiting.
  • The value of an external coach who can be objective as well as challenging and supportive in helping build perspective and resilience.
  • A sounding board for exploring possible strategies and for breaking through resistance to change and overcoming challenges.
  • A release from feeling isolated, becoming blinkered and losing self-belief and confidence, which can lead to derailment.
  • The opportunity to speed up the organisational socialisation process for cultural assimilation, manage key stakeholders and build effective working relationships.
  • Time to step back from the pressures, see the big picture and prioritise for business and personal success.

Our client’s feedback

“I’m a real believer in the value of coaching having experienced it a number of times in my career. I was appointed into this new role to sort out our outsourced and supplier contracts and this brought with it numerous people and business challenges. It was so helpful talking through my plans, ideas and difficulties with my coach, it improved my approach to solving problems and overcoming resistance to change and I feel it has made me more resilient. My proposals have been approved by the Board and we are on target to deliver the cost savings.”
