Karen Armstrong

Founder and Director

In 2009 Karen joined forces with likeminded colleagues to create a business which prides itself on providing a strategic partnering, personal and quality service for clients and candidates.

Working across the UK and internationally, Karen has sourced top talent for a wide variety of technical disciplines and functional roles up to Partner / Board level. She has earned an enviable reputation for well-researched, high quality, ethical search. Her knowledge and expertise is recognised by clients and candidates alike.

Karen previously worked in outplacement and career management and her success in that field has continued into her executive search which spans over 10 years. Behind that success is a desire to serve the best interests of both people and business, and this is the driving force for KA Executive Search today.

Liz is a highly experienced organisational development and talent management professional and also a master practitioner coach and mentor. She is experienced in the Engineering and Construction sectors working with organisations such as Sandvik, Hochtief, National Grid, Atkins, Severn Trent Water, Cundall and Arup.

Used to working with some of the brightest and most talented technical professionals, Liz has worked in a variety of sectors and is known for her intuitive approach; she demonstrates a clear understanding of business strategy along with a results orientation at both individual and organisational level.

Liz has significant experience of coaching and mentoring senior executives and HR professionals including HRD’s, Heads of Department and HR Managers, supporting them in managing challenging change agendas and developing OD and business focused talent management strategies. Alongside her coaching and mentoring capability Liz also brings strong consulting skills, she has worked with a number of consulting companies and was previously a management consultant with KPMG.

Terri is a highly motivated and versatile Senior Researcher working with UK and International senior level disciplines. With 18+ years experience in executive search, she is able to quickly grasp client needs and undertake research and sourcing in a highly productive, professional and confidential manner, producing great results.

Terri previously worked for a well known search consultancy for 11+ years, firstly as a Researcher and working her way up to Head of Research leading a 10 strong team. Since 2010, Terri has worked as an Associate with KA Executive Search and has been instrumental in helping us to provide a bespoke service offering to the Built Environment market.   Terri has an established reputation among her business associates as someone with unrivalled market knowledge and a unique ability to track down talented personnel within the built environment.

Ann has over 20 years experience working across many sectors and functions in the recruitment industry, including executive search, talent mapping, management referencing, customer referencing, market intelligence and perception studies. Prior to working with KA Executive Search as an Associate, Ann’s earlier career includes working for Armstrong Craven, Warren Partners and Hoggett Bowers.

Highly professional in her approach and fully experienced in quite often difficult assignments, she always delivers, even when the going gets tough. Ann is renowned for her tenacious ability to uncover the right talent through the use of her telephone and networking skills, and prides herself on bringing drive, added value and ideas to achieve successful results.

Rob is an experienced business psychologist, having worked for over 17+ years delivering business psychology solutions to a range of organisations and individuals internationally. He has worked in private and public sectors, designing and implementing programmes to enhance the engagement, energy and capability of people, teams and organisations.

Programmes have included assessment, leadership development, career management, coaching, teambuilding and high potential development. Rob’s skills lie in his ability to quickly identify key issues and in his real interest in supporting people and organisations to achieve their full potential.
